Mardia Gras parade winners announced

NORMAN — Float winners have been announced for the 19th annual Norman Mardi Gras Parade that took place Saturday in downtown Norman.

Terre Verde School took the cake with the “Fabulous Flanigan” award. Sellars’ Krewe earned best lights, Paul Mitchell School of Hair Design won best movers and shakers, the Norman Music Festival and The Kamals were awarded best music, and Carnevolve earned best marchers.

Other recipients include Medieval Faire Krewe for wackiest family, Blue HAWK for “Doggie Gras,” Krewe of Bogus with Ghostbuster’s Marshmallow Man for “Chewbaccus” (Sci-Fi), USS Oklahoma City Submarine Replica for unidentified rolling object and Rivermont Retirement Community for spirit of Norman.
