Weaving class offered

NORMAN — The Noble Public Library will present a program introducing the art of weaving at a class set for 6 p.m. Monday in the Coman Culbert Community Room of the library, 204 N. 5th St.

Janey Crain, a local artist from Noble, will teach the classes, which are for ages 18 and up. She will demonstrate basic weaving techniques and help beginners start on their own projects.

Crain has been part of the Oklahoma Arts Council’s artist in residence program since the 1960s, working with a variety of audiences over the years in sites such as schools and state prisons. She also has presented work in the Dreamer Concepts Studio Foundation show in Norman.

The library will provide all materials for the class, but space is limited, so advance registration is required.

For more information or to register, visit the library, call 872-5713 or go online to www.justsoyouknow.
