NHS band to play for dinner dance

NORMAN — Norman High School’s bands are performing during the Big Band dinner dance fundraiser hosted by the school’s band association.

The event will offer a night of food, music and dancing from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 26 at the high school’s new conference center, located on the west side of the school on Berry Road.

“We hope to add this big band experience to Norman’s rich tradition of local musical offerings,” said Barbara Craig, Norman High Band Association president.

The Norman High Jazz Ensemble will perform big band sounds while guests dance and dine on food provided by Abbey Road Catering, Local and Victoria’s Pasta Shop.

Tickets are $40 per person and may be purchased by using the order form available at norman.k12.ok.
