NORMAN — Sunday

· Last day to skate: The last day for the Norman Outdoor Holiday Ice Rink presented by Marc Heitz will be Sunday.

Hours will be 1pm-8pm.  We believe that outdoor activity is one of the healthiest therapies for children and adults. So as to encourage this we are asking a special commitment from children. Any child willing to promise not to play violent video games for 24 hours will be able to skate for 1/2 price...$5 our last day

Tuesday

· DAV meeting: Disabled American Veterans, Cleveland County Chapter 61, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Center, 1776 Robinson Street.

Members are urged to attend.

The chapter has more than 400 members who help those with active service or service connected injuries file claims with the government.

The group also helps raise public awareness about the presence and needs of veterans and their needs.

· GOP Luncheon Club: Child Trafficking - Is It Real Or A Myth?

There have been stories in the news lately about the issues of human and child trafficking. On Tuesday, Oklahoma City Police Det. Robert Kemmet will give a hands-on evaluation of today’s kids and the reality of these situations.

The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Coach’s Restaurant, 102 East Main in Norman. The cost is $12 and includes meal, tax and dues.
