Police investigate West Norman home invasion, shooting

NORMAN — Norman police are investigating what is believed to be a home invasion and shooting late Friday on the city’s west side.

Police said a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a home at 3315 Woodsboro Drive shortly after 10 p.m. The victim was taken by EMSSTAT to Norman Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

According to a police press statement released early today, detectives believe the victim was shot during a home invasion by an unknown suspect.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Norman Police Department.
