Emergency responders host candidate forum

NORMAN — Norman firefighters, International Association of Firefighters Lodge 2067 and the Norman Fraternal Order of Police, Bratcher-Minor Memorial Lodge No.122, have joined together to sponsor the first-ever Public Safety Candidate Forum.

All candidates have been invited to participate in the forum at 7 p.m. March 18 at the city council chambers, 201 W. Gray St.

The forum will concentrate on public safety issues. Candidates will be given two minutes for opening and closing statements. During the questioning segment, candidates will be asked to limit their responses to one minute.

The forum time was incorrectly listed previously in an A1 story in the Transcript and on the city calendar. The correct time is 7 p.m.
