Ricketts shuts down Seminoles

NORMAN — Another ranked opponent, another Oklahoma shutout. It’s become a common theme for the top-ranked Sooners, who moved to 15-0 with Saturday’s 6-0 victory over No. 23 Florida State.

OU is 7-0 against ranked teams this year, and has outscored those opponents 47-0.

On Saturday, Keilani Ricketts picked up the win, giving up just one hit while striking out 11. Shelby Pendley finished 3 for 3 with an RBI to lead the Sooner attack at the plate.

Next up for OU is the home opener against Nebraska at 6 p.m. on Friday at Marita Hynes Field.
