Emergency repairs on Lindsey Street

NORMAN — Emergency repairs on the Lindsey Street bridge over Interstate 35 will be complete by Wednesday evening.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation and the city of Norman identified some serious concerns that needed to be address for public safety.

All four lanes will be open on Thursday, but two other ODOT projects at I-35 and Main Street and at I-35 and the Canadian River Bridge will continue to present challenges and delays for travelers on I-35 as well as those drivers who are entering or exiting Norman from Lindsey Street and State Highway 9.

Drivers are urged to allow extra time and to drive with caution. Alternate routes during peak traffic periods may be the best option.
