Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said Monday the shoulder injury left guard Brody Eldridge suffered against Nebraska will keep the senior out of Saturday's game against Texas A--M.
The coach said he expected Eldridge to play again this season.
"We're just unsure how long it will take," Stoops said.
The versatile team captain has become the first Sooner in the modern era to start at three different positions in the same season. He started at center against BYU before returning to his normal position at tight end for the next four games.
Eldridge then moved to left guard to fill in for the injured Brian Simmons. He was hurt while trying to make a tackle on a Nebraska interception Saturday.
Stoops didn't have an update on the ankle injury to senior defensive end Auston English. He went out midway through the first quarter of the Nebraska game and did not return.
