Athletes announce college decisions

NORMAN — While National Signing Day was highlighted by Norman North’s Jordan Evans affirming his commitment to OU, there were several previously-undecided athletes who announced their decisions on Wednesday.

Norman High quarterback Zach Long decided to walk on at OU rather than attend a Division II school, opting to join Evans at the university where his father, Chuck Long, served as an assistant coach for six seasons.

At Norman North, several players made late decisions, with DJ Hicks signing with Lindenwood, Corbin Cleveland signing with Oklahoma Baptist University and Bryan Payne choosing Northeastern A&M.
