Just when it looked it Oklahoma was turning its season around, a game comes along like Tuesday night's against Texas Tech.

The Sooners feel behind early and never got over the hump in a 72-71 loss to the Red Raiders.

The loss was the Sooners' first at Lloyd Noble Center this season and stung worse than any it has experienced this year.

Willie Warren, who looked fully recovered from the ankle injury that's bothered him the last three weeks, scored 18 points to lead the Sooners.

However, it was the shot he didn't make -- a open 3-pointer from the wing with about 5 seconds left -- OU needed to fall.

It was one of two 3-pointers the Sooners got off in the final seconds that could have given them the win. Tommy Mason-Griffin's attempt as the buzzer sounded also banked off the rim.

OU (13-10, 4-5 Big 12) struggled from long distance all night. It was just 6-for-26 from beyond the arc.

John Roberson scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Red Raiders (15-7, 4-5) to a season sweep of the Sooners.

Tony Crocker added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Sooners. Tiny Gallon emerged from a month-long slump with 13 points.
