Lindsay knocks out Lexington

NORMAN — Lexington’s turnaround season was brought to a disappointing end Friday night, as Lindsay came into town and knocked the Bulldogs off 38-33 in a wild game.

The game was not without its share of drama. The Bulldogs, who earned the right to host just the second playoff game in program history but drew a tough first-round opponent in Lindsay, fell behind early. In fact, the Leopards built a 26-12 lead midway through the third quarter, only for the Bulldogs to begin an impressive comeback.

Lexington fought back to take a 27-26 lead on a field goal late in the game, but Lindsay struck right back. The lead changed hands four times in the final three minutes, and the outcome wasn’t decided until Lexington was unable to put points on the board in a final, desperate drive.
