NORMAN — Hitachi Computer Products (America) Inc. is hosting a 5K run/walk on Saturday, Aug. 14 in Norman with proceeds to benefit the Center for Children and Families, Inc. (CCFI). Tthe theme of the event, “Run for the Next Generation,” recognizes the importance of investing in the lives of children.

“We are excited to do something valuable for families and kids in our community,” said event director Tommy Fazendin. “Children today are growing up in increasingly challenging and unstable times, and we want to extend a hand of support and try to help as many children and families as possible.”

Fazendin said the Hitachi Community Action Committee’s mission is to work together with the Hitachi Foundation to enhance the well being of economically isolated people, both locally and nationally.

We are welcoming all ages to come participate”
