Church plans Indian taco, spaghetti dinners Saturday

Norman First American United Methodist Church will have a day filled with food and fellowship Saturday.

The church, 1950 Beaumont Drive, will have an Indian taco sale 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., an event it regularly puts on. Saturday evening they will add a spaghetti dinner and silent auction.

The dinner will be 4 p.m. and features native hymn singing 5 to 9 p.m. The meal of spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and drink will be served until it's all gone. There also will be a raffle for a quilt with University of Oklahoma designs to be given away that evening. The quilt was made by Alma Johnson, daughter of FAUMC member Lois Neal.

The spaghetti dinner is a fundraiser to help the church purchase a new bus primarily for use by its youth.

Cost for dinner is $6 per person, and tickets for the quilt raffle are $1 each.

For more information, call the church at 321-5640.
