NORMAN — A.I.C. group to meet Thursday

First Presbyterian Church’s A.I.C. (Adult Interest Center) will meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Alexander Hall for “Iconic Westerns — Authors and Movies.”

Dr. Don Wyckoff will share his 60 years of interest in the history of the American West. Abbey Road Catering will serve lunch.

Group announces meeting change

Norman Quaker Meeting (Society of Friends) has announced a change in meeting time beginning Sunday.

The unprogramed meeting for worship will begin at 10 a.m. followed at 11 by discussion of current interests and concerns.

The monthly meeting for business will continue to be held the third Sunday of the month, but will be moved to the 11 a.m. time. The group meets at 800 Elm Ave.

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church to start VBS

“Fire” is the theme of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church’s intergenerational vacation Bible school.

Sessions start Sunday with the topic “God Speaks Through Fire: Moses and the Burning Bush”; Monday, “God Sends Fire from Heaven: Elijah Triumphs Over the Priests of Baal”; Tuesday, “Tongues of Fire: Pentecost” and Wednesday will be a campfire cookout celebration. Each program will be 6:30-8 p.m.

Concord Missionary Baptist Church to host VBS

Concord Missionary Baptist Church will host vacation Bible school 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday.

The theme for this year’s VBS is “Soul Survivors On Danger Island.” For more information, call the church office at 329-2447.
