The singles of First Baptist Church Moore, 301 NE 27th St., will host Friday Night Live for Him at 7:30 tonight.
The evening will feature speaker Doug Dees. Recreation to follow until 10 p.m. There is an optional dinner for $5 at 6:30 p.m.

McFarlin to host Fall Academy
McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, 419 S. University Blvd., will host its Fall Academy 2012, a creative learning in the community.
Several classes will be offered from 7-9 p.m. beginning Wednesday to Oct. 24.

Archbishop to sponsor ‘listening session’
Archbishop Paul S. Coakley will sponsor a “listening session” to plan a collective vision for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at St. Mark’s the Evangelist Church, 3939 W. Tecumseh Road.
Esther seminar series to kick off 10th year
The seminar series Esther Women will return on Oct. 3 for its 10th year.
Season tickets for the series available only until Thursday.
The cost for all nine events is $150, which includes meals and a May 7 concert by Sandi Patty at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. McArthur Blvd.

Wesleyan Church to host block party
The Norman Wesleyan Church, 701 N. Berry Road, will host a block party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 29.
The event will be outside, but will move inside in the event of rain.

Ministry fair Sunday at St. Michael’s
St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 1601 W. Imhoff Road, will host a ministry fair to answer questions. The fair will be from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
