NORMAN — Trinity Baptist to host speaker
Trinity Baptist Church, 801 N. Peters Ave., will host a speaker from Mary Abbott Children’s House to help adults learn about the issues surrounding child sexual abuse at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Fellowship Hall.
ULCSC to offer workshops
University Lutheran Church, 914 Elm Ave., will host three Stress Release Technology workshops at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15, 22 and 29 in the Education Building.
The cost for all three workshops is $10 and there is a 20 participant maximum. To enroll, call ULCSC at 321-1584.
ULCSC also will host a Pet Blessing at 4 p.m. Sunday at the grassy area behind the church.
Church to host bingo night Oct. 12
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 421 E. Acres St., will host Friday Night Bingo at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 in the gym.
Callers will be Fred Pope and Bob Morton. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and will be prepared and served by the Christian Service Board. All proceeds will go to a holiday food bank for families in need. The menu includes Frito Lay pie, potato chips, potato salad, brownies, seasonal cupcakes and a beverage.
Open house announced
The Soka Gakkai International-USA Oklahoma Buddhist Center, 817 NW 12th St. Oklahoma City, will celebrate the grand opening of its new location with an open house from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday.
The SGI-USA Buddhist community includes the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area with Norman, Moore and Edmond as well as Tulsa and Lawton.
