Oklahoma had to have a victory over its biggest rival to keep its season going Friday night.
Didn’t happen.
No. 9 Oklahoma State rolled to a 4-2 victory at John Crain Field. The loss ended the Sooners’ hopes of reaching the Big 12 tournament and clinched the conference’s regular-season title for the Cowgirls.
The Cowgirls rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to record their fourth straight win in the series, which they lead 11-2-1. The game was tied 2-2 at the half, but OSU found the back of the net on two occasions in the final 45 minutes to record the victory.
OU finished the season 3-15-1 overall and 2-7-1 in Big 12 play, while OSU improved to 16-1-2 and 7-1-2.
