NORMAN —
One of the major story lines for Oklahoma's game at Texas Tech on Saturday will be the Sooners' losing streak in Lubbock, Texas. They haven't beaten the Red Raiders at Jones AT&T Stadium since 2003.
OU coach Bob Stoops said the losing streak there isn't a factor with his team.
"We had a great week of practice last week. I think that, as much as anything, is what matters. They have a good attitude in the way they're working," he said on Monday. "We'll go in excited about the challenge of it."
The Sooners have lost there last three games at Texas Tech and two of them were memorable. The 2005 game lives in infamy because of a pair of controversial calls that went against OU. Both were upheld by replay review in a 23-21 loss. The 2007 game is remembered because then starting quarterback Sam Bradford was knocked out of the game in the first quarter with a concussion. The Sooners went on to lose that game 34-27. The loss cost OU a berth in the BCS national championship that season.
