NORMAN — Editor, Norman Transcript:
I wonder what the readers’ thoughts were after reading Sunday’s Transcript.
I do not want to become known as a perpetual letter writer to The Norman Transcript. However, there are times when citizens should speak out forcefully.
Gov. Mary Fallin and the majority of our legislators are creating a disaster.
It is scandalous that our governor refused to take federal money that would give those with no health insurance assistance to receive care. I have asked this question before: Why do so many Oklahomans consistently vote for those who hurt them rather than help them?
Thank goodness for the federal government. It is a nightmare that the state makes decisions that are destructive to all of us. To paraphrase a queen who said, “Let them eat cake,” our lady governor’s policy on health care says, “Let them suffer.”
