Police should be riding American motorcycles

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

Mr. Johnnie Janeway, your letter to the editor regarding the German-made motorcycles purchased by the Norman Police Department sends a message of vital importance.

There is no real pride if you’re riding for Americans or citizens of Norman on a foreign machine.

The answer to the problem is clear: Trade up now.

Get rid of those cycles and call Mr. Janeway for recommendation of suitable American-made police motorycles.
