NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:
I was very glad to read in the Sunday Transcript that Norman will now have two motorcycle policemen on patrol.
However, it was very disappointing to read that instead of buying American-made motorcycles, the Norman Police Department purchased BMWs. BMWs are made in Germany. With our economy so bad and many Americans out of work, it would have set an awesome example for all to follow if they had spent the money on two American-made motorcycles, such as “Harleys.”
