U.S. today is nation divided

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

I have written and torn up so many letters to the editor that I can’t get my thoughts straight. Everyday something happens in our nation’s Capitol that amazes me.

This isn’t the same America I have known, loved, defended with my blood on foreign soils — it has turned against its citizens.

We have inept leaders in Congress serving only themselves and, worse, a president of the United States that has no clue how to lead a superpower.

We are a nation divided — a free enterprise capitalist nation and a president who is determined to make us a socialist nation, with help from our elected Congress.

We are economically bankrupt. We are morally bankrupt, picking all mighty God out of everything.

It was said a long time ago that we would be conquered without a shot being fired. If people don’t stand up and say enough is enough, our Constitution (already) will not be worth the paper it’s written on. But don’t be alarmed. Just don’t be disarmed. Ever.
