The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Graveside services for Helen A. Parker, 97, of Norman, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Norman IOOF Cemetery.

Mrs. Parker died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, in Norman.

She was born Sept. 27, 1915, to William J. and Irene (Morrison) Darbe in Lincoln, Kan. Mrs. Parker had been a school secretary for several years and had many fond memories. She was owner of The Catch All Antique and Gift Store in Alva. She was a church group leader and Sunday school teacher in her church. Mrs. Parker was also a Girl Scout leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Stinson; her second husband, Harold Parker; an infant daughter, Hazel Irene; three sisters and two brothers.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter, Jamie Featherston, her three children Landgrave Thomas Smith and his wife Jessica and their children Alysa and Kaitlyn; her daughter, Eva Burnett and her husband Eric; her daughter, Vera Featherston; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents at the Sterling House in Norman.

Services are entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service.
