Georgia Faye Kelso

NORMAN — Georgia Faye Kelso, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, in Norman. She was born June 21, 1926, in Roff to Gordon and Ethel (Buchannan) Kelso.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today in the Easthill Cemetery in Roff.

Georgia was an operator supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. She attended Southwest Church of Christ in Ada and Westside Church of Christ in Norman. She was a member of the Retired Telephone Operators Club.

She enjoyed shopping, especially at Dillards during the winter and Home Depot during the spring, gardening, working in her flower garden and landscaping. Georgia loved life and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert F. Kelso Sr.; granddaughter, Georganne Kelso; three sisters, Frances Robinette, Ophellia Stewart and Aileen Wright; and daughter-in-law, Lynne Ella (Smith) Kelso.

Georgia is survived by one son, Robert F. Kelso Jr. and wife Ginger of Norman; sister-in-law, Elwanda Kelso of Ada; one granddaughter, Christi Morren and husband Kevin of Moore; two great-grandchildren, Courtney Morren and Elizabeth Morren, both of Moore; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements for Georgia and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
