Maureen Cecelia (Moore) Brady

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Maureen Cecelia (Moore) Brady went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in Norman. Maureen was born Aug. 13, 1926, to William and Anna May Moore in Culleybackey, Northern Ireland.

A private family memorial service will be hosted at a future date in Leonardtown, Md.

She married Patrick Brady in 1944, and they immigrated from Dublin, Ireland, to the United States in 1947, along with their two young children.

They became proud U.S. citizens.

Maureen was a professional artist and homemaker.

She enjoyed her animals, gardening, crafting, Irish step dancing and travel.

She attended Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond and Wildwood Community Church in Norman.

Maureen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Moore; and her husband, Patrick.

She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Kemp and husband Daniel of Norman; son, John Brady and wife Gloria of Leonardtown, Md.; granddaughters Julie Fisher and husband Jon of Norman and Susan Kemp of Arlington, Va.; and two grandsons, Brady and James Fisher.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Rambling Oaks Assisted Living and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care and kindness.

Arrangements are by Corbett Funeral Services in Oklahoma City.
