NORMAN — Susie Naifeh Meyerson, age 60, of Edmond, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, after a brief illness. She was born Jan. 2, 1953, to Robert N. and Lillian (Homra) Naifeh in in Norman.
A memorial service to celebrate Susie’s life will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly Ave. in Edmond.
Susie graduated from Norman High School in 1971 and earned a B.A. in social work from the University of Oklahoma in 1976. Through the years, she was employed in Shawnee at High Pointe Hospital and in Oklahoma City at Skirvin Hotel andSheraton Hotel. Most recently, she was a dedicated volunteer at Individual Artists of Oklahoma Gallery in Oklahoma City.
Susie loved her family and delighted in the accomplishments of her niece and nephews. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She found joy in yoga, afternoon walks, volunteer work, lunch dates with her friends and special times with her family.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Meyerson.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Lee Ann and Jim Kuhlman; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Carol Naifeh, all of Edmond; niece, Leslie Payne (Jessie) of Tulsa; nephews Jonathan Kuhlman (Liz) of Norman, Jason Kuhlman of Austin, Texas, and Nick Naifeh, Chuck Naifeh and Jake Naifeh of Edmond; great-nephew, Nicholas Naifeh; great-nieces Naifeh Kuhlman and Lillian Payne; and a multitude of cousins and friends.
