NORMAN — Jeanne Lillian Andree, 51, passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, 2012, in Norman after her battle with cancer. She was born May 27, 1961, in Norman to Richard and Josephine (Peet) Andree.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, 419 S. University Blvd. in Norman, with interment following in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jeanne lived all of her life in Norman, graduating from Norman High in 1979. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Jeanne had a kind and generous nature, and anyone who talked to her felt better afterward. She loved helping people and spent the last nine years caring for children at McFarlin’s day care. She enjoyed playing Mah Jong and working jigsaw, sudoku and crossword puzzles. She was an active member of Camp Fire Girls and was the top candy salesgirl one year. She was the third person in Oklahoma to earn the Wo He Lo medallion, Camp Fire’s highest honor. Jeanne was a Christian and grew up at First Presbyterian in Norman and then moved to Trinity Baptist in Norman.
Jeanne is survived by her sister, Suzanne Andree Hodgson; brothers Peter Walter Andree and David Delbert Andree and wife Vicki; two nephews, Will Jeremy Hodgson and Seth Erin Hodgson; and two nieces, Elizabeth Anne Hodgson and Alethea Erin Andree.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
Arrangements for Jeanne and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman.
