NORMAN — Buryl Lee Sugg was one of 13 children born to Barney and Stella (Phipps) Sugg. He was born June 4, 1932, in Beardstown, Texas. He departed this life Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, in Noble at the age of 80.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at McMahans Funeral chapel, with Rev. Leon McDowell officiating.
Buryl moved to Noble in 1952 from Wellington, Texas. He was employed with Gilt Edge for 13 years. He then became employed in the glass business and worked for Clouse Glass Co. for many years before his retirement.
He and Dawn Stamp were united in marriage on March 1, 1985, in Oklahoma City. They were married for 27 years. He was a very caring and loving man with a great sense of humor. He always wanted to do for others.
His family was the most important part of life to him. He and his brothers were inseparable. They always took an annual camping trip together with brothers only. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time and holidays with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers, Argel, Melvin, Paul, Dewey, Ray, Calvin and Gary.
Those who survive him include his wife, Dawn of the home; two sons, Doyle and Jackie Sugg and Randy and Sonya Sugg; two daughters, Joyce and David Montgomery and Ann and Todd Myers; two sisters, Mary and Gerald Williams and Clara and Bob Payne; three brothers, Charles and Mary Helen Sugg, Leon and Debbie Sugg and David and Jade Sugg; 14 grandchildren, Mike and Julie Sugg, Tina and John Arenas, Gene and Kristy Raymond, Chris Sugg, Kent and Thea Sugg, Stacey Sugg, Kylee Williams, Izaac Williams, Ethan Myers, Kennedy Myers, Aaron Russell, Mike Russell, Michael and Helen Montgomery and Shane Montgomery; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia and Jim Huse and Shyrel and Steve Nelson; one brother-in-law, Scott and Cindy Stamp; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in Noble IOOF Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today.
Arrangements are by McMahans Funeral Home.
