Coy Lynn Ramsey died Monday, Feb. 25. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the South Walker Church of Christ, 5217 S. Walker Ave. in Oklahoma City, under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home, Moore. Interment will be at the Moore Cemetery on Fourth Street.
Coy Ramsey was born Nov. 6, 1936, to Virgil and Clyde Ramsey at Allen. He married Barbara Jean (Hines) Ramsey on Sept. 28, 1956. He was the personnel director at Robberson Steel Company for 25 years and also served as personnel director at Gulfco Industries. He was employed with Aflac Insurance at the time of this death. Coy loved his family very much, they said. A lifetime member of the Church of Christ, Coy loved to lead singing and worship. He was an avid sports fan from Little League to the St. Louis Cardinals. There wasn't any sport that he wouldn't watch, especially University of Oklahoma sports.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; sons Mike of Norman and Pat of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Gaylyn Triplett and husband Robert of Wanette; sister Virginia Edwards and husband Don of Fresno, Calif.; grandchildren Lance Ramsey and wife Leigh of Oklahoma City, Brad Jones and wife Robin of Mustang, Jennifer Johnson and husband Charlie of Oklahoma City, Desiree Wells and husband Josh of Noble; and six great-grandchildren.
