NORMAN — Robert F. “Bob” Edge passed away eight days before his 56th birthday in Nassau Bay, Texas, on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Graveside service wil be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Cemetery in Norman. Bob’s dear friends, Mark Edge and Brice Martin, will be honorary pallbearers.
Bob was born Nov. 18, 1956, in Norman. He was one of five children born to Edward Earl Edge and Mary Elizabeth Jordon Edge.
Bob graduated from Oklahoma State Tech and enjoyed a 37-year career in the HVAC industry. He was raised Catholic and enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hiking and watching football, especially his beloved Sooners and Texans.
On April 3, 2008, Bob married his love, Kathy Voigt Edge, and they attended St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in League City.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, with his loving mother, Mary, passing away only five months ago.
Bob will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted son, a loyal brother and a treasured friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Edge of Bacliff, Texas; brothers George Weldon Edge of Grand Junction, Colo., Edward Earl Edge Jr. of Oklahoma City and David M. Edge and his wife Tammie of Baytown, Texas; sister, Ellen Ann Edge and her husband Arlie Abbott of Norman; Kathy’s daughter, Annalaura Garrett of Burbank, Calif.; nieces and nephews William Edge of Baytown and Michael C. Edge and wife Angela of Beach City; and great-nieces Halie M. Edge and Melinda N. Kubin and husband Brian.
Arrangements are by Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas.
