Agatha Whitten-Blair

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Agatha Whitten-Blair, 85, former Seminole resident, passed from this life Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Cedar Creek Nursing Home in Norman. She was born Dec. 15, 1926, in Foster to parents, Arthur Pickett and Stella (McConnell) Pickett.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. Monday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, with Rev. Mark Hensley officiating.

Following high school, Agatha worked in retail shoe sales. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Norman.

Agatha was preceded in death by her parents and by her first husband, Robert L. Whitten.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph G. Blair of the home; three sons, Craig Whitten of Norman, Reggie Whitten of Edmond and Kevin Whitten of Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Armintha Blackwood of Pauls Valley and Marcella Ratcliffe of Castro Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; as well as a host of other family and dear friends.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
