John Richard Scott

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — John Richard Scott passed away at his residence in Salmon, Idaho, on Nove. 26, 2012.

John was born in Norman on Aug. 3, 1940. John served in the United States Army, 82 Airborne Division. John was active with the National Rifle Association and was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bee Scott and Doris Lee Scott; a son, Randy John Scott; and sisters Barbara Jean Williamson and Marjorie Ann Fore.

He was survived by his loving wife, Carol Lyn Scott (Speer); sons Richard Lee Scott, Jefferson Davis Scott, John Bee Scott and James Daniel Scott; brother, James Gary Scott; sister-in-law, Judge Peggy Sue Scott; 10 grandchildren named Alysha, Sydney, Jonathan, Reece, Kendra, Sicily, Rowan, Jamie, Paul and Holly Scott; and coworker and best friend, Ray Crownover.

At his request, his body was cremated. The family will have a memorial service high up in the Lemhi Mountains near Gilmore Summit at a date to be determined.
