NORMAN — Gerry Lee Mayo, 60, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in Purcell. 

Memorial services were Saturday, Dec. 8, at Dibble Cemetery under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Gerry was raised in McClain County. He graduated from Norman High School in 1970. On June 22, 1972, Gerry married Rajeanna Hill in Dibble.

He was in the Air National Guard during Vietnam. Gerry worked for General Motors and was a member of the United Auto Workers union. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Gerry also enjoyed watching documentary films, OU football and Thunder basketball. He liked playing chess and cards as well as raising livestock.

Gerry was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Mayo; sister, Deanna Mayo; son, Jason Mayo; grandson, Daniel McGlothin; and son-in-law, Dan McGlothin.

Survivors include his wife, Rajeanna Mayo; father, Norris Lee Mayo; children David Mayo and Amber Bighorse, Sara Pickett, Rebecca McElhaney and husband Kevin, Hannah Martinez and husband David, Thomas Mayo and Ruth Mayo; 15 grandchildren; sister, Rhonda Howry and husband Ray; nieces Jennifer Ashbridge and husband Dan and Megan Ball and husband Marcus; and many other relatives and friends.
