Brian Douglas Sargent

NORMAN — Brian Douglas Sargent, 46, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, in Oklahoma City. He was born April 10, 1966, in Pomona, Calif., to Douglas and Cathy (Marston) Sargent.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Noble Church of the Nazarene, 4201 E. Maguire Road in Noble.

Brian was united in marriage to his best friend, Tammy Ann Taranto on Feb. 23, 1996, in Norman.

Brian was the ranch foreman for Willow Creek Farms in Goldsby for the past 15 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his boys. Brian had a full life and was proud of his children and grandchildren. He shared with everyone that they were his greatest accomplishments. His grandchildren loved picking vegetables with Grandpa every day in the summer from his garden. Brian listened to classic rock and was a fan of the Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed cooking, watching westerns and NASCAR. Brian never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Sargent.

Brian is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tammy Sargent; his mother, Cathy Deal of Ensign, Kan.; three sons, Brian Sargent Jr. and wife Sarah, Justin Sargent and Dalton Sargent, all of Noble; three grandchildren, Adrian Sargent, Brian Dylan Sargent and Brooke Alyxandria Sargent; sister, Kimmy Alcala and children of Dodge City, Kan.; sister-in-law, Alice Sargent and children of Idabel; brother-in-law, Victor Taranto III and children of Kenner, La.; his aunt, Peggy Bray and husband Kenny of Wrightwood, Calif.; along with cousins, nieces, nephews and additional family and friends.

Arrangements for Brian and his family have been placed in the care of the Vice family at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman.
