Robert ‘Bob’ Spires Jr.

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Robert “Bob” Spires Jr., 59, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in Norman.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Norman IOOF Cemetery.

He was born July 11, 1953, in Norman to Robert and Ruth (Hughes) Spires Sr. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Connie McClellan Spires, for 39 years.

Bob enjoyed canoeing and spending time with his dogs. His greatest love in life was his family and spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vicki Dawson and Nancy Hardie; and brother-in-law, Scott McClellan.

Bob is survived by his wife, Connie Spires; daughter, Christina Bergeron and husband Gary; granddaughter, Rachel Bergeron; mother-in-law, Nancy McClellan; brother-in-law, Mark McClellan; sister-in-law, Lori Rose and husband Greg; nieces Dawn Mallard, Jennifer Biesak and Lexi Riek; nephews Ryan Rachal, Dustin Rachal and Jordan Rose; great nieces Hailey Mallard, Jasmine Miller and Olivia Riek; and great-nephew, Woody Biesak.

Arrangements for Bob and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
