Lois Marie Murphy

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Lois Marie Murphy was born to Charles Fleetwood and Ada Maude (Cain) Stout on Aug. 29, 1922, in Battiest. She departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at the Noble Health Care Center at the age of 90 years.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today at Noble IOOF Cemetery.

Lois had resided in the Noble area since 1944 coming from Pollard. She attended school in Pollard. On July 26, 1942, she and Mr. Brewer Melvin (B.M.) Murphy were united in marriage in Noble. She made her career as a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and embroidery work.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She is survived one son, Ronald Murphy of Noble; one daughter, Murel Lester and husband Robert of Noble; four grandchildren, Stephen Murphy, Isam Collins, Jeanna Moss and Michele Young; eight great-grandchildren, Chrestopher, Ryan, Justin, Ashley, Haley, Lesley, Kayley and Emily; and many other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by McMahans Funeral Home in Noble.
