NOBLE -- A man carrying a pistol and a device he claimed was a bomb robbed the First Fidelity Bank at 900 N. Main at about 12:30 p.m. Friday.
A spokesman for the FBI said the device was not a bomb and there were no injuries reported. The man made verbal threats. He was described as a white male, approximately 35 years of age with a medium build. He was carrying a gray bag with a zipper and wearing a stocking cap, sunglasses and a black jacket.
The robber fled in a four-door, maroon car with damage to the right rear bumper. The license plate was TEN-244 and issued from an undetermined state.
The robbery investigation is being conducted by the FBI and the Noble Police Department. Noble Police referred questions to the FBI.
A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered by the Oklahoma Bankers Association. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the FBI's 24-hour number at (405) 290-7770.
