Remember when you were young and Halloween was scary?
Remember that one person or that one house?
Moore resident Gary Berger remembers and wants to have the house everyone else remembers. He has made a hobby out of Halloween and for the past five years, he has built a cemetery in his front yard and a haunted house with a mad scientist labratory in his garage.
This year, he has extended the terrors into his back yard at 1512 Turtle Lake Road.
"We will be open from 7:30 or 8 until 11 Friday night," Berger said. "And Saturday from 8 until we don't know. Until people don't show up anymore."
There is no charge to go through his yard.
"I can't imagine charging people," he said.
Berger's haunted yard has an electric chair, torture chamber, haunted forest, toxic dump with zombies and a large spider area complete with spiderwebs.
Seven actors will be at the cemetery. Berger will be the first individual people see when they enter.
"And sometimes the last they see because they turn around and leave," he said.
Working with Berger will be his wife, Sandra, sister-in-law Nettie, her boyfriend Chuck, Berger's daughter Kara and her friends.
"Kara is a sophomore at Moore High School -- the original," Berger said.
"They better be there," Berger said. "Last year we had over 400 people go through and we just keep growing. We expect a lot more this year since it is the first time we've been open two days.

The front cemetery is more suited for young cildren, Berger said.
"Inside and back can be a little bloody and gruesome," he said. "And we will pass out candy."
"We feel we bring a lot of amusement and wonderment to the community by giving them something fun, safe and free," Berger said. "We want to give kids lasting memories. Hopefully we will be in the same house and they can bring their kids to the house."

Changes made to big trash services
Changes have been made to the big trash pick up service which should make the pick up easier for both residents and city workers.
Residents who have Monday trash service will have big trash pick up in the months of March, July and November; Tuesday trash service will be April, August and December; Thursday is January, May and September and Friday is February, June and October. -

She has been married for 19 years to Scott and the have three children, Blake, Paige and Allison.
