NORMAN — Jenny Watkins and John Lack, both of Austin, Texas, exchanged wedding vows on May 19, in the garden of the Rincon Beach Club, Carpinteria, Calif. Judge Thomas Allen of Santa Barbara, Calif., officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Linda Watkins, Springfield, Mo., and Richard and Judy Watkins, Ft. Worth, Texas. The bride’s special aunt and uncle, Sherry and Thor Jurevics of Chesterfield, Mo., attended the wedding.
Parents of the groom are Jim and Ellen Lack, Norman. He is the grandson of the late Ruth and John Hankowsky and the late Evelyn and George Lack.
Providing music during the ceremony was acoustic guitarist John Lyle.
The bride wore a James Clifford strapless, organza ball gown with a softly curved neckline, a beaded embroidered lace bodice that was accented with three dimensional lace flowers, asymmetrical dropped waistline, a multi-tiered full ruffle skirt and chapel-length train.
She carried a bouquet of white roses, calla lilies, white orchids and stephanotis.
Serving as bridesmaids were Jill Tran, Norman, Camille LaHue, Boyd, Texas, and sister of the groom, Kendall Lack, Portland, Ore.
Groomsmen were Bobby Jones, Steamboat, Colo., Andy Vaughn, Oklahoma City, and Shane Travis, Portland.
A reception, dinner and dancing were held at Rincon Beach Club, Carpinteria.
The couple met when they were seniors in business school at the University of Oklahoma. The bride was from Plano, Texas, and the groom is from Norman. They both have bachelor of arts degrees in business management from OU and John has a master of business arts in marketing and E-Commerce from Oklahoma City University. The bride is employed with The Hartford. The groom is employed as a web marketing strategist with VisionSite.
Following a honeymoon trip to the Hilton Papagayo, Costa Rica, the couple resides in Austin.
