Merillat Ann Staat and Manuel Ernesto De Le?n were married Oct. 17 at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History on the University of Oklahoma campus.
Joe Meinhart officiated the ceremony while the groom's brother, Fidias Eduardo De Le?n, recited a Spanish translation. A reception immediately followed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Henry and Janice Staat of Norman. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. She is employed as an editor with John Wiley and Sons Inc. in Hoboken, N.J.
The groom is the son of Fidias and Carmen De Le?n of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Instituto Tecnol?gico de Santo Domingo. He is employed as an information technology consultant with Nomura Bank in New York City.
The couple honeymooned in the Aegean, and will reside in Brooklyn, N.Y.
