Kuhlman, Payne exchange wedding vows in October ceremony


Leslie Ann Kuhlman and Jessie Kyle Payne, both of Tulsa, were married Oct. 3 at Our Lord's Community Church in Oklahoma City.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Lee Ann Kuhlman of Edmond and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Naifeh of Norman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest F. Kuhlman of Norman.

The groom is the son of Georgia Lynn Looman and Johnny Preston Payne of Norman. He is the grandson of Betty Looman and the late George Looman of Purcell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Preston Payne of Purcell.

The bride wore a gown from the Maggie Sottero Haute Couture line. The gown included french tulle embellished with Alencon lace and beading. The strapless fitted gown featured a lace-up back and detailed train. She wore her mother's pearl necklace and her maternal grandmother's pearl bracelet.

Her flowers were a whimsical nosegay of calla lilies, black bacarra roses, curly willow, oncidium orchids, hypericum, dahlias, celosia and montbreesia in rich fall colors.

Jason Kuhlman, brother of the bride, officiated the ceremony.

Musicians were Adam Aguilar, guitarist and soloist, and Marilyn Rosfeld, organist.

The honorary matron of honor was Lee Ann Kuhlman, mother of the bride, of Edmond.

Bridesmaids were Jennifer Maynord of Oklahoma City, Tisa Riggs of Edmond, Kristin Winters of Stillwater, Kristina Gee of Denver, Alison Petrone of Norman, Elizabeth Kuhlman of Norman, Kody Burns of New York City and Sara Wright of Tulsa.

The honorary best man was Johnny Payne, father of the groom, of Norman.

The groomsmen were Justin Harper, Deryck Courange, Jonathan Kuhlman, all of Norman, Scott Bartlett of Branson, Mo., Aaron Petrone of Norman, Neil Stanek of Oklahoma City and Jordan Payne and Christopher Robinson, both of Norman.

Ushers were Gregg Dickinson and Jonathan Schuster of Oklahoma City, Jackson Looman of Norman, Kevin Kuhlman of Dallas, Eben Shillingford of Tulsa and Joel Petrone of Dallas.

Flower girl was Joscelyn Harper, niece of the groom and daughter of Justin Harper of Norman.

The ring bearer was Max Courange, nephew of the groom and son of Mr. and Mrs. Deryck Courange of Norman.

Members of the house party were Deshia Powers and Kristen Buttram, both of Dallas.

A reception was held at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.

The couple honeymooned in San Francisco, Napa Valley and Yosemite National Park, where the bride's grandparents also spent their honeymoon.

They plan to establish a residence in Tulsa.
