DeWitt, Fischer wed at Lake Tahoe
Lisa Nicole DeWitt of Dallas and Shawn Ray Fischer, originally of Norman, were married Aug. 28 at Incline Village at Lake Tahoe, Nev.
The bride is the daughter Tim and Bonnie DeWitt of Auburn, Calif. She is a graduate of the University of Dallas with a degree in business leadership. She is employed as director of Exhale Spa in Dallas.
The groom is the son of Terry and Gayle Fischer of Norman and the grandson of Maryanne Fischer of Norman and Mae Stout of Del City. He attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Texas-Arlington with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as owner of Fischer Motorsports.
The bride wore a Vera Wang silk strapless floor-length gown with a cathedral train. Her flowers were a bouquet of single-stem white roses.
Father William Nadeau officiated the ceremony.
Matron of honor was Monica Ellison of Carrollton, Texas.
Bridesmaids were Jodi Engbrecht, cousin of the bride, of Sacramento, Calif., and Karen Greatti of Dallas.
The best man was Terry Fischer, father of the groom, of Norman.
Groomsmen were Frank White of Oceanside, Calif., and T.J. Marti of Tulsa.
Ushers were Clay Packard of Tallahassee, Fla., Josh DeBoer of Tulsa and Andrew Montgomery of Oklahoma City.
Flower girls were Elizabeth DeWitt, daughter of Tim and Bonnie DeWitt of Auburn, Calif., Kira DeWitt, cousin of the bride and daughter of Mark DeWitt of Auburn, Calif., and Madison McNight, cousin of the bride and daughter of James and Diane McKnight of El Granada, Calif.
Ring bearers were Ian Howes, cousin of the bride and son of Kristine Howes of Auburn, Calif., and Benjamin McKnight, cousin of the bride and son of James and Diane McKnight of El Granada.
Readers were Jordan DeWitt, sister-in-law of the bride, Chris DeWitt, brother of the bride, both of Los Angeles, and Mindee Beverly, sister of the groom, of Norman.
A reception took place at The Chateau at Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Calif.
The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii, and has established a home in Dallas.
