Ron and Jeanette Buhl were married Oct. 17, 1959, at the First Lutheran Church in Glendale, Calif. They have two children and four grandchildren, one of whom is a Marine and headed for Afghanistan in two weeks.
Ron began working at General Motors and in 1978 transferred with the company to help start the body shop in the new Oklahoma assembly plant. Jeanette took a job in the quality department as an inspector. Both retired from GM, scaled down to a smaller home, bought a motor home and have traveled around most of the United States, including Alaska, and Canada for numerous years. They just returned from two weeks in Europe for their anniversary trip.
A dinner party was held in their honor at Bricktown Brewery hosted by their two sons, Craig and Michael.
