Harrises celebrate golden anniversary
Jerry and Beverly Harris of Norman marked their 50th wedding anniversary last week with a three-day reception with family at the Quartz Mountain Resort in Lone Wolf.
Mr. Harris and the former Beverly Agnew were childhood sweethearts and got married at age 17 and 19, Sept. 19, 1959, at the Stockton Church of Christ in Stockton, Calif.
They lived in California, Arkansas, Illinois, Arizona, and have lived in Norman since 1982.
Mr. Harris was an evangelist with the Church of Christ for the first 20 years of their marriage and for the last 30 has been a trim carpenter and cabinet maker. Beverly is a homemaker. Both are members of the Norman Church of Christ.
Jerry enjoys all sports, especially University of Oklahoma football and basketball. Beverly enjoys making baby quilts for her grandchildren and reading. Both enjoy visiting and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
The couple's children are Brenda Harris of Austin, Texas, Brent Harris of Norman, Bretta Cating of Wichita Falls, Texas, Brandee Cutter of Norman, Brooke Risener of Bentonville, Ark., and Johnathan Harris of Norman. They have 16 grandchildren.

Noel Anne Tiedge of Ashburn, Va., and Andrew Dobry of Norman have planned a Nov. 6 wedding at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Norman.

Denman, Peppler exchange vows
Holly Denman of Lake Villa, Ill., and Adam Peppler of Norman were married Oct. 24, 2009, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Dawn Denman of Lake Villa. She is a graduate of Antioch Community High School and Purdue University.
