Pelfrey, Trisel tie the knot

NORMAN — Ann Alaura Pelfrey and Ryan Patrick Trisel were married during a 6 p.m. garden ceremony Oct. 6 at the home of Mark and Joy Pelfrey in Norman. The bride’s paternal grandfather, Pastor Stanley Buckmaster, officiated.

Parents of the bride are Tammy Tauber, of Oklahoma City, and Mark and Joy Pelfrey, of Norman.

Parents of the groom are Dennis and Donna Kendrick, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.

Prelude and ceremony music was performed by Dr. Larry Hammett in the style of classical guitar. Soloist Christi Cormier sang “Make You Feel My Love” during the blending of the sands ceremony. Musical selections during the ceremony included “What a Wonderful World,” “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Canon in D” and “Prelude from Bach’s Cell Suite No. 1.”

The bride wore an ivory all-over beaded lace trumpet gown with empire waist and lace-capped sleeves. Her ensemble was completed with a chapel-length train that was accented with lace appliqué. She carried a bouquet of fresh-cut hydrangeas, roses and tiger lilies.

Shalla Strider, of Norman, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christi Cormier and Alysha Fiedler.

The best man was Alphonso Rodrigues, of Oklahoma City. Groomsmen were Nicholas Trisel and Dannin Tauber.

Leilani Williams, daughter of Amanda and David Jennings, was the flower girl. Jaxon Trisel, son of Nick and Marie Trisel, was the ring bearer.

An outdoor garden reception was held at the Pelfrey home in Norman. Wedding planner was Vicky Baker, of Norman.

The bride’s maternal grandmother, Barbara Wall, of Bartlesville, provided the wedding cake. The cake was a white, three-tiered, ruffled cake with purple hydrangeas cascading down the front. The groom’s cake was a representation of the groom’s deep sea fishing heritage and his preference for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Norman North High School and attends the University of Oklahoma.

The groom is a graduate of Choctaw High School in Ft. Walton Beach and attended Okaloosa Community College. He is employed at Dell and serves in the U.S. Army, where he has been on one deployment to Kuwait and Iraq.

The couple has made their home in Midwest City.
