Couple celebrate 63 years

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — William Dale Smallwood and Wanda Eads Smallwood were married on July 31, 1949, in Oklahoma City. Pastor Bill Coussens, Rockwood Baptist Church, officiated the ceremony.

Wanda and Dale are from Ft. Cobb. Some of the guests at their wedding were Doyle and Bobbie Bryant, now Bobbie Smallwood, J.A. Colburn and Billy Colburn.

The Smallwoods have lived in Norman most of their married lives. Dale is retired from Tinker Air Force Base and Wanda is retired from York. The couple are members of the First Baptist Church of Moore.

The couple have four children, Charles Smallwood, Shirley Thompson, Glenn and Tommy Smallwood. They have nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
