NORMAN — Brenda Cecilia Kessler Terrazas and Oscar Santaella, both working in New York City, were married in a civil proceeding on Oct. 26 at Ajijic, Mexico, about 25 miles south of Guadalajara.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas Russell Kessler, formerly of Norman, and Cecilia Terrazas, of Guadalajara. She also is the granddaughter of Edwin Kessler and the late Lottie Catherine Menger Kessler, of Norman. Edwin Kessler traveled to the festivities and was joined by his older son, Austin Kessler and his wife Connie Gray, of Austin, Texas.

A cathedral wedding in Ajijic was on Oct. 27. A reception, complete with a band and about 200 guests who had attended the church ceremony, followed that ceremony.
