The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Chelsea Kuwitzky, Norman, and Michael Bowlan, Shawnee, exchanged wedding vows June 9 at Bethel Baptist Church in Norman. Pastor James Ehrlich officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Cheryl Kuwitzky, Norman.

The groom is the son Steve and Kathy Bowlan, Shawnee.

Music during the ceremony was performed by Chase Kuwitzky, guitarist, Jim O’Dell, pianist, and Anna Spray, vocalist.

The bride wore a Maggie Sottero, caught-up gown with dipped neckline and corset closure. The gown featured an asymmetrical bodice with jeweling at the side hip and echoed beneath the back corset closure.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of multicolored spring flowers.

Maid of honor was Shelby Henrici, Edmond.

Bridesmaids were Kim Burns, Norman, and Courtney Chambers, Moore.

Best man was Ben Buchanan, Shawnee.

Groomsmen were Tyler Anderson, Bolivar, Mo., and Mark Bowlan, Shawnee.

Ushers were David Bentley, Norman, Mitchell Douglas, Piedmont, Jason Downing, Ada, Lane Howard, Shawnee, Chad Kuwitzky, Norman, and Aaron Wooley, Hurst, Texas.

Flower girl was Hope Martin, daughter of Dr. Pepper and Kellie Martin, Norman.

Ring bearer was Jaxon Hasty, son of Kevin and Trisha Hasty, Norman.

Guest book attendant was Kelly McAlister, Flower Mound, Texas.

A reception took place at Bethel Baptist Church. Reception assistants were Michelle Beasley, Kim Bowlan, Elizabeth Helms and Kristen Kahre.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She is a special education teacher with Norman Public Schools.

The groom is a graduate research assistant at OU.

Following a honeymoon trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the couple resides in Norman.
