Norman Chamber of Commerce Business Marketplace is an opportunity to showcase your products and services to more than 300 business and community members. Held in conjunction with Business After Hours, Business Marketplace is designed to facilitate easy conversation with others about you and your business.
This year, Business Marketplace will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at Embassy Suites. Participating businesses and organizations will have a five-foot table and an 8' x 8' space to display their products and information.
The event is available to chamber members only. For-profit business booth rentals are $350 or $400 if you share space with another organization; not-for-profit booth rentals are $100 or $125 if you share space.

Greenovation Committee to host seminar
Prior to Norman Business Marketplace, the chamber's Greenovation Committee will host a series of discussions about "greening" your business. The seminar will be 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 26 at Embassy Suites. The focus will be in four main areas: taxes and regulations; basic steps you can take to reduce, reuse and recycle; green technology; and local case studies.
Featured speakers include: J.D. Strong, secretary of environment, who will discuss taxes and regulations for 2010; Dianne Wilkins from the Department of Environmental Quality who will discuss how to "green" your business; representatives from Cole Technology, G.O.E.S. Energy and OG--E to discuss green technology options; and a case study panel with representatives from Native Roots Market, National Center for Employee Development, Bergey Windpower and the University of Oklahoma.
